TASTE OF SANTA BARBARA
May 13-19
Welcome to a week of celebrating the best of Santa Barbara’s food and drink, hosted by the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience as a tribute to Julia Child. The Taste of Santa Barbara events include film screenings, tasting events, farm tours, cooking classes, and even more ways to bring together both our community and its visitors.
SIPPING ON THE SEA
Third Thursday of the month
Enjoy breathtaking sunsets and indulge in local wine aboard the Double Dolphin with Sipping on the Sea. The event kicks off on May 16th, featuring Sanford Winery, and continues the third Thursday of each summer month, with June 20th spotlighting wines from Piazza Family Wines and Luna Hart Wines.
MUSIC ON THE WATER
Friday evenings, May through October
This year, Santa Barbara Sailing Center’s annual Music on the Water series will feature Gavin Roy (June 7), David Segall (June 14), Justin Claveria (June 21), and Vienna (June 28), along with wine and ocean views.
I MADONNARI ITALIAN STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL
May 25-27
This annual three-day event brings together a wide range of local artists to transform the streets in front of Old Mission Santa Barbara into an exhibition of magnificent pastel chalk art. In addition to admiring the artwork, visitors can also delight in the authentic Italian market and live music.
ZOO BREW
June 4
Experience Santa Barbara Zoo’s iconic annual fundraiser Zoo Brew, where you can indulge in unlimited beer tastings from over 30 local breweries while enjoying live entertainment and the picturesque backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. Visitors get to explore the zoo after hours and bring home your souvenir glass!
SANTA BARBARA SURF FILM FESTIVAL
June 7-8
The 4th Annual Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival commemorates Santa Barbara's vibrant surf legacy, featuring our artists and surfers who have globally influenced surf culture for over half a century. Events include film screenings, Q&A panels, and animated afterparties.
JUNETEENTH SANTA BARBARA BLOCK PARTY
June 15
Join the celebration of freedom at the Juneteenth Santa Barbara Block Party in the Funk Zone, themed "nourishing the people" and celebrating local Black artists, businesses, artists, and organizations with free food, dance, and live performances.
SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION
June 21-23
Embark on the 50th annual Summer Solstice Celebration in downtown Santa Barbara, where the theme "roots" sets the stage for a dazzling parade along Santa Barbara Street with vibrant costumes, floats, and more, ending at Alameda Park where festivities continue with shopping, live music, a beer and wine garden, and more!
CLASSICS WITH THE CARDINALS
June 22
The Classics with the Cardinals car show returns to Bishop Diego High School for its second year of classic cars and local vendors.
SANTA BARBARA LAVENDER FESTIVAL
June 24
Experience Santa Barbara’s first Lavender Festival, an arts and crafts celebration featuring lavender-inspired works by over 75 local vendors. Enjoy exciting, delicious creations and family-friendly entertainment.
