Symbiotic: Seven Contemporary Sculptors at the Historic Casa del Herrero

Come by Casa del Herrero any day until November 21st to witness it’s garden sculpture exhibition. Throughout the estate’s outdoor spaces you’ll see the beautiful works of local artists Isaac Anguiano, Béla Bácsi, Robert J. Emmons, Pattie Porter Firestone, Victoria Hendler, Joan Rosenberg-Dent, and Lynda Weinman.

 

Pianos on State

In celebration of Arts and Humanities month, Santa Barbara is holding it’s 12th annual “Pianos on State” artistic experience, at no cost. Each piano not only acts as its own artistic creation painted by local artists, but also a musical opportunity for anyone from the random passerby to the trained musician. Come watch, listen, or play!

Lane Farms Pumpkin Patch

From hayrides and farm animals to a windy corn maze, Lane Farms Pumpkin patch really does have the full Autumn experience for people of all ages. Montecito Motor Classic, October 10th

Calling all car enthusiasts! The Montecito Motor Classic features a diverse selection of rare and unique vehicles. The annual car show draws car enthusiasts and families for an opportunity to interact with the cars and their caretakers, free of charge. Since beginning in 2012, the event has drawn over 5,000 spectators per year. Taking place at Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club from 9AM - 2PM.

 

Figtoberfest, October 9th

Happy October! It’s time for Oktoberfest, but Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company’s version… Figtoberfest. Head on up to the Buellton Mothership for some german-style lager, food, a costume contest, and games! Come ready to party!

 

Chumash Trail Day, October 10th

In honor of those who lived here before us, Santa Barbara is happy to announce “Chumash Trail Day; Old Trails, New Soles” in celebration of Indigenous People’s Day. With appreciation and acknowledgement of the Chumash people, Santa Barbara hikers will explore local trails with a new perspective of the land and its story. Santa Barbara hiking grounds are historic to the Chumash people, and recognizing their importance helps us honor the contributions of the Chumash people today. The hike will begin with a traditional Chumash blessing by Chumash elder and fire keeper, Art Cisneros.

Monstera Mash: A Boo-tanical Stroll through Lotus Land, October 28-30

Gather in the garden for a boo-tanical stroll and experience the thrills and chills of the season. Follow the Monstera Mash Map through the gardens to find spooktacular decorations, learn about poisonous plants and creepy creatures, and discover mysterious surprises around every corner.
